The OIML is delighted to announce its participation in COP29. The OIML is a partner in the Standards Pavilion in the Blue Zone and will organise two Panel Sessions there to highlight how the harmonisation of technical regulations in legal metrology can help climate action in the trade and transport sectors.

As the world comes together for COP29, the urgency of the climate crisis has never been greater. The OIML and its Standards Pavilion partners will showcase how International Standards and harmonised technical regulations are key to transforming ambitious climate commitments into concrete, measurable actions.

The Standards Pavilion

Central to the OIML’s presence at COP29 is the Standards Pavilion, located in the Blue Zone – a vibrant hub where the standards community will connect with key stakeholders. Throughout the week, the OIML and its Pavilion Partners will host a series of interactive sessions, bringing together experts, policymakers and negotiators to discuss how International Standards can drive climate action forward.

The COP29 Standards Pavilion is the dedicated space for advancing climate action with standards. You can find a schedule of all sessions, including livestreams, taking place on the Standards Pavilion website here.
